Plan notes

Best for

Experienced scramblers comfortable with loose terrain and route-finding.

Pair with

Cascade Amphitheatre on a non-summit day from the same trailhead.

Access

Continues past the amphitheatre up scree and rock. Route markers exist but some lead off the safest line.

Season

Late July through early August once the upper mountain is snow-free.

Safety

Traverse near the false summit is the crux — exposed and the last place snow melts. Crampons and ice axe may be needed in early or late season. No shortcuts on descent; hidden cliffs below the ridge.
